This Privacy Policy describes how BB Tasks ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our application on iOS, macOS, and watchOS.

We believe that your personal data belongs to you. BB Tasks is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. We do not operate custom backend servers, track your online activity, sell your personal data, or serve advertisements.

1. Information We Collect and Process

BB Tasks processes the minimum amount of data necessary to provide task management, synchronization, and notification features.

A. Task and Workspace Data

• Data Types: Task titles, descriptions, subtasks, category names, completion statuses, and dates.

• Storage Location: All your data is stored locally on your device and synced across your devices using Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) service.

• Access: We do not have access to your tasks, categories, or notes.

B. Device & Local App State

• Local Communications: The app uses local inter-process channels (such as Apple’s WatchConnectivityand shared App Groups) to sync tasks locally between your iPhone, Apple Watch, and home screen Widgets.

• Local State Data: Information about app options, view preferences, and widget timelines are cached locally on your device.

C. iCloud and CloudKit Sharing Data

• iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud, your data is transmitted directly to your personal, private iCloud container managed by Apple.

• Collaboration & Sharing: When you explicitly choose to share a task or category with another user, CloudKit generates a secure share link (CKShare). Shared data is made available only to the recipients you explicitly invite via Apple’s native sharing interface.

2. Permissions & Apple Device Capabilities

BB Tasks requests access to specific device capabilities solely to enable app features:

• Notifications: Used strictly to deliver local alerts or background update notifications when your tasks change or when shared content updates via CloudKit.

• iCloud Account Access: Used to verify if you are signed into iCloud so the app can sync your data and allow collaboration. We never store or transmit your Apple ID or credentials.

3. Data Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

• No Analytics: We do not integrate third-party analytics frameworks (e.g., Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel).

• No Tracking: We do not track you across other apps or websites, nor do we collect Advertising Identifiers (IDFA).

• No Advertising: BB Tasks contains no third-party advertisements or ad networks.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Processors

We do not use any third-party servers, APIs, or hosting providers. All cloud operations are handled exclusively by Apple Inc. through standard Apple APIs and frameworks:

• Apple CloudKit & iCloud: Manages remote sync and shared task collaboration. Apple’s privacy standards and terms apply to data stored in your iCloud account. Please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy for details on how Apple protects your data.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local Deletion: Deleting a task or category in the app immediately removes it from your local database and schedules its deletion from your iCloud container.

• Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling BB Tasks removes all local application data from your device. Data stored in your personal iCloud account can be managed or cleared through your iOS or macOS iCloud Settings.

6. Children's Privacy

BB Tasks does not knowingly collect, store, or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 depending on jurisdiction). Because the app does not collect personal data on external servers, no children's data is gathered or processed by us.

Welcome to BB Tasks. By downloading, installing, or using the BB Tasks application across iOS, macOS, or watchOS ("Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Application.

1. License & Use of Application

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BB Tasks on any Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and these Terms.

• You agree not to modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application.

• You agree not to use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of local laws.

2. User Content & Cloud Synchronization

You retain full ownership of all data, task entries, categories, and content created within BB Tasks ("User Content").

• Local & iCloud Storage: Your User Content is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) service. We do not own, store, or monitor your content on external servers.

• Sharing and Collaboration: When using task or category sharing features, you are solely responsible for the content you share and the recipients you choose to invite via Apple's sharing framework.

3. Privacy

Your privacy is paramount. Your use of BB Tasks is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is handled locally and through Apple's CloudKit framework.

4. Apple Services & Frameworks

BB Tasks relies on services provided by Apple Inc., including iCloud, CloudKit, and WatchConnectivity. We are not responsible for any downtime, data sync interruptions, or errors caused by third-party infrastructure, including Apple's cloud or operating system updates.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF DATA LOSS.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS OR OWNERS OF BB TASKS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted within the app or on our support website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
